PastUntold Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data PastUntold collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the PastUntold mobile app and the websites pastuntold.app and pastuntold.com (together, the "Service").

1. Who we are

PastUntold is operated by Tucido ("Tucido", "we", "us"). Tucido is the controller of your personal data. Contact us at support@tucido.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, we receive an account identifier and, where the provider shares them, your name, email address and profile picture.

Profile information. Your display name, the avatar you choose and any optional profile details you add.

Activity information. Episodes watched, playback position, quiz results, mission and streak progress, preferences, coin balance and in-app transaction history.

Purchase information. Subscription status, transaction identifiers and purchase history. Payments are processed by Apple or Google. We never receive your full card number.

Device and usage information. Device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, IP address, device and advertising identifiers, crash logs and how you interact with the Service.

Notifications. A push notification token, only if you enable notifications.

Communications. Messages you send to our support team.

Website visitors. Our websites use cookies and similar technologies to measure visits and the performance of our marketing.

4. Analytics and advertising

We use third-party tools to understand how the Service is used, measure our marketing and show ads in the app. These partners may collect device and advertising identifiers and usage data.

You can limit ad tracking in your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads).

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

Service providers that host and operate the Service for us, including Amazon Web Services (hosting and authentication).
Sign-in providers you choose: Google, Apple or Facebook.
App stores and payment processors: Apple and Google.
Analytics, attribution and advertising partners, as described in section 4.
Authorities and advisers, where required by law or needed to protect our rights, users or the public.
A successor, if Tucido is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile > Settings > Delete account, or by emailing us. We complete deletion within 30 days.

After deletion we may keep limited records where the law requires it or where we need them to prevent fraud or resolve disputes, such as purchase and tax records. Aggregated or anonymised data may be kept. See our Account Deletion page for details.

7. International transfers

We operate globally. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers are located. Where required, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable cloud infrastructure to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your data
Restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing
Withdraw consent at any time
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise a right, email support@tucido.com. We may need to verify your identity. We respond within 30 days.

California residents. We do not sell personal information for money. Sharing identifiers with advertising partners may count as "sharing" under California law. You can opt out by limiting ad tracking on your device or by emailing us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

In the app. You can edit your profile, turn notifications on or off, and delete your account in Settings.

10. Marketing emails

We may email you news, new releases and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us. We will still send essential messages about your account and purchases.

11. Age limit

PastUntold is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
